One of the frequently asked questions is, “Will negative emotions such as fear, sadness, and irritation disappear if I continue with the cleaning?”
The answer is NO.
Perhaps some people may have experienced it that way, but I have been practicing Ho’oponopono for almost 50 years, and even today, I still feel irritated or sad, and I get scared when there are earthquakes or other events.
The purpose of Ho’oponopono is not to eliminate unpleasant emotions.
We clean both positive and negative emotions. It is not about getting rid of them, but about cleaning and returning to our true selves, being in the right place.
Every event and everything you feel and think about regarding being a mother, a father, a child, your workplace, your home, or the city you live in is an experience you are having right now to live as your true self. Through such emotions, we recognize memories and choose whether to let go of them.
Being in the right place doesn’t mean there are no negative emotions. Every moment changes, as if the ground shifts with every memory we release. And through this process, we also encounter the next memory. When faced with something challenging, we often wonder if we are in the wrong place and if there could be something better or more favorable elsewhere.
However, without seeking someone to tell us whether our current place is right for us, we can release our own debts and unnecessary baggage through our emotions towards what is happening right here, right now.
And I am still amazed by this.
That even the current place we are in can show us changes.
Peace,
