Unihipili shows us what to clean
I met Morrnah, the founder of Self Identity through Ho’oponopono (SITH), when I was 19. At that time, there was nothing yet that would become the basis of SITH. Morrnah spent many years meditating and cleaning to shape this form, and I was always meditating with her. Morrnah realized that the issue lies within herself. What we do in Ho’oponopono is about ‘knowing oneself, reclaiming oneself’. Many people resist the phrase ‘I’m sorry’, but it’s okay to just say ‘I love you’ or ‘Thank you’.
But it’s also an experience that ‘I’m sorry’ is hard to say. In such cases, clean by asking, ‘What in my memory reacts so much to the words I’m sorry?’
In Ho’oponopono, connecting with Unihipili is very important. Unihipili is the subconscious where past experiences from the beginning of this world to today are accumulated. Everyone feels various emotions every day, but originally, we have various emotions and sensations within us, and Unihipili is showing them to us. Everyone feels emotions, but we don’t know how to handle them. The conscious mind just needs to feel the emotion and clean with it.
── How long does it take to finish cleaning?
Everyone asks that question, but Ho’oponopono is only focused on ‘how to choose this consciousness here and now’, and since there’s only ‘now’, we can’t say until when.
If various emotions come up or something happens, just clean with it.
Even sitting here now, we are influenced by the Earth and planets. The conscious mind may not understand, but the subconscious does. Therefore, understand that Unihipili is teaching you at this moment, and it’s important to clean. I often tap my left chest and say, ‘OK! Thanks for telling me’.
── KR, you often find cleaning tools, don’t you?
Since meeting Morrnah, I’ve always been meditating with her, and it’s my job to receive tools through meditation. You too, as you continue cleaning, might go to a field, find fruit on it, and feel drawn to it. Then that fruit becomes your tool. Unihipili shows what needs to be cleaned, and by cleaning more and more, space is created, and inspiration comes down.
── KR, you are very successful in real estate. Is it important to clean with real estate and land too?
For me, it’s just that I like land and work. And I’m given the opportunity to clean. Clean before searching for a property, seeing it, selling it, renting it… Clean before any action. How much I’ve cleaned is the value for me. Even if real estate is said to be bad during a recession, I’m not influenced by that information. Just clean whatever you hear.
So, I buy even when everyone else is selling.
Cleaning hidden emotions one after the other
Many people misunderstand, but when you become aware of an emotion and clean it with four phrases, a new emotion comes up beneath it. Then clean that, and the next emotion comes up, and clean that, and another emotion comes up… it’s a repetition of moment to moment.
You clean about being emotional, wondering ‘What in my memory is making me this way?’ Then, if the thought ‘I wish I’d calm down soon’ comes up, clean that. If you think, ‘Oh, this isn’t working’, clean that. It’s like peeling an onion skin by skin.
Anger is originally there, and since it’s come up, clean it while saying thank you. Everyone has the memory somewhere that ‘anger is a bad emotion’. That memory is also a target for cleaning. Whatever the emotion, it’s good that hidden emotions come out and get cleaned and lightened.
