Vol.9 KODAWARI “It pushes me forward, yet makes me stop.”
Irene's note
It was a session perfectly suited for the first Strawberry Jam of 2026, where we could deeply stretch out the “stiffness” of our minds.
“Kodawari”—while it is an essential part of ourselves and our lives, it can also become a heavy boulder that unknowingly robs us of our freedom.
Starting with explaining this uniquely Japanese word “Kodawari” to KR-san, and then hearing about when she notices its presence and how she cleans with it… it was such a delightful time feeling like we all got a glimpse of her secret!

Thank you for the opportunity to "talk" about living life through Self I-Dentity through Ho'oponopono (SITH).
We are excited to meet with you, hear your stories, and enjoy this time together as we explore cleaning.
We look forward to your participation!
Peace always,
Irene Taira
Aloha, everyone.
I am truly grateful for this special opportunity. It is also a wonderful chance for cleaning for myself.
I have been fortunate to interview KR countless times. Usually, we start with a general theme, but KR always begins by asking, “What’s up?” That simple question naturally leads us to talk about what’s going on in the moment.
From there, I often become aware of the stubborn patterns or habits of thought I’ve been caught in. It becomes an opportunity to clean with them. By the end of the interview, I often feel lighter, more at ease, and more like my true self.
Rather than tackling difficult problems, just cleaning with even the smallest experiences we are having in the moment can unexpectedly open up the world in front of us. I hope we can all experience that feeling together through this new event.
Thank you.
