I often lament, ‘I don’t know what I truly feel, I can’t understand what I’m sensing…’ I’ve felt low, my heart aches, I enjoy delicious food, I feel happy… Every day, I experience various emotions, yet my mind feels crammed. There’s the constant pressure to handle tasks in society, the invisible binds of the ‘shoulds’ I’ve placed on myself, and I end up overwhelmed. I still find myself wondering, ‘What should I do, and where do I start?’
In moments like these, I remember Cleaning and remind my inner self, ‘I love you,’ or I repeat words from my favorite tools taught in class. This has become part of my routine.
Recently, I felt my body was trying to tell me something. When I noticed I wasn’t feeling well from stress, lack of sleep, and coldness in my body, it turned out I had COVID-19 for the second time. Although my body recovered quickly, I felt it was time to connect more with my body, as I kept falling into the same patterns of sleep deprivation and poor habits. What seemed like a setback brought me to a doctor specializing in traditional Chinese medicine, who helped me address my chronic issues with cold sensitivity. It was a moment to take action.
I still tend to ignore my body’s voice and fail to truly care for myself. I sigh at how persistent some habits and ingrained thought patterns are. But I can express gratitude to my Unihipili and my body, saying, ‘Thank you for teaching me’ and ‘I love you.’ I truly want to become closer to my body.
Despite the daily challenges, Ho’oponopono continues to be a small light that gently guides me forward. The articles and videos shared by the instructors consistently provide support along my journey.
Thank you. I love you.
