Just like putting a computer into sleep mode, we all need to reset ourselves regularly throughout each day. Even those who are accustomed to focusing on mental health may find it necessary to pause and reset their thoughts and body if emotions start to overflow and they feel out of control. This reset can take many forms: breathing exercises, taking a walk, getting some rest, soaking in a hot bath or onsen. Cleaning practices like HA breathing or drinking Blue Solar Water are also ways of sending supportive messages to the body.
During these times, I often ask myself:
“Where in my body is this current emotion showing up most strongly?”
This question applies to periods of depression as well. When you experience yourself in a depressive state, where does it show up in your body? Instead of focusing on heavy feelings, try to direct your attention to the body, caring for it. This process is a direct form of caring for your Unihipili.
The soul constantly hopes for your return, for you to come back to yourself. The spark of life that was present at the moment you were born is always there, a guiding light that shines within every person equally. This spark is the light at the end of the tunnel. Take even the smallest action to honor it; you don’t need to make a major life change. Simply drinking water slowly, for yourself, is enough.
Take this action for your body. No matter how bedridden or inactive you may feel, you can still Clean and stay in touch with your body, signaling to your Unihipili that you are with it.
Whether changes are small or large, they begin as inner transformations that then appear in the world around you. Rather than struggling alone, Clean with the experience of suffering or heaviness, allowing transformation within yourself. This is what brings real change in the material world as well.
When you are connected with your body, you can trust in your own strength. Every tunnel has an end, and there is always an exit, even if it’s not yet visible. No matter what you’re going through, there is no need to feel ashamed; any shame is part of the long-held suffering of your Unihipili. Take as much time as you need to look within yourself.
As your inner self heals, light will eventually emerge, no matter how long it takes. Don’t feel despair if you can’t see the light yet. In the meantime, treat your body with the utmost care and kindness.
