First, let me share my own story. I attended my first Ho’oponopono class in 1992. The location was Boston, and the instructor was Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len.
At that time, my goal was to firmly grasp the reins of my own life and control it. However, meeting Ihaleakala changed that aspiration. From the moment I met him, I loved him, and his wonderful character as a person had an appeal that even someone as stubborn as me could not resist. It turned out that what I was trying to gain, he was suggesting I let go of.

Honestly, at first, I didn’t understand Ho’oponopono well, nor did I think I could come to like this process. Unable to fully embrace this process, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer) in May 2003. Then, the following month, I attended another class scheduled in Boston. It was a small class, but I had an unprecedented experience there.
It’s difficult to put into words, but at that class, I learned everything I could do for my life at that moment, even though the doctors had told me there was no more treatment available.

Since that time, I have begun cleaning by my own choice and have continued it for 21 years. Currently, I take some medication biweekly, but otherwise, I am living a reality that might well be described as healed.
