Instructor Dr. C. Jarnie Lee interview: [Knowing your true self is a life-time moment-by-moment process of getting to know who you are – your Self I-Dentity.]
“You were born sad,” said Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona to me.
Ever since I was an infant in the crib, I could remember being easily frightened and terrified of people for no reason at all. Anxiety and depression were constant companions of mine. I just wanted to be free from STRESS – the emotional pain I was constantly experiencing. So, for 40 years I searched in vain for my FREEDOM from stress until the day I met Morrnah who was giving a presentation to an audience of educators working for the Department of Education in Hawaii, USA.
I had signed up for a different workshop that day, but heard this inner voice say 3 times, “Go to Morrnah’s workshop! Go to Morrnah’s workshop!! GO to Morrnah’s workshop!!!” Immediately, I turned around and headed toward Morrnah’s workshop. The doors were already closed. I opened a door and saw that there was a huge audience – packed with only one seat left in the center of the crowd. As I was making my way to my seat, Morrnah was already speaking. As I sat, I heard this inner voice whisper, “I know that lady!” And, shortly thereafter, this inner voice exclaimed, “This is the answer!! We don’t have to search anymore!!!
So, a few weeks later, I found myself as a nervous student in Morrnah’s Ho’oponopono class. To demonstrate the Ho’oponopono “cleaning” process of stress release, Morrnah asked if I would be willing to write information about myself on a blackboard for the class to “Ho’oponopono.” Immediately after class, Morrnah approached and asked me if I would like to join her in weekly meditations.
That was THE turning point In my life. Morrnah became my lifelong teacher and mentor, asking me to be on staff and to teach the Ancient Hawaiian way of stress release that she had developed and updated for today’s use.
The very first and intensely profound result of the Ho’oponopono cleaning was the BONDING, incredible LOVE and PEACE experienced with my mom while caring for her during her illness and transition – that’s when I decided to continue to clean, apply the “Self I-Dentity Through Ho’oponopono” process for the rest of my life.
Peace,
DR. C. JARNIE LEE, EDD
