Where does true confidence really come from?
Being respected by others.
Gaining social status.
Achieving goals.
Youth, health, and beauty.
If we believe that confidence can only come after we attain these things, we may find ourselves endlessly chasing something—even in moments when we think we feel confident. Or, we may be compelled to live in denial of our own feelings, carrying small despairs within us.
However, when we return to the truth of Ho’oponopono—that we are originally perfect beings—we may once again feel the desire to reconnect with our inner self.
Being inherently perfect is not a temporary state. It’s not limited to when we are 3 years old, in our teens, or in our 30s. Even in this very moment, we are living in perfect rhythm with Divinity.
Instructor Nello says that confidence does not come from following emotions, but from acknowledging them. And through the act of acknowledging, when we willingly take a step forward again, that is where true confidence is born.
