It doesn’t have to be as dramatic as a “destined encounter” or a “red string of fate.” Many women surely wish for a “meaningful encounter” to come their way someday. But does a wonderful encounter come to everyone? What should one do to attract such encounters? “You might find it mysterious, but there is one answer. Just listen to the true voice within you. Doing so should naturally guide you to the most suitable situations and events for you,” says KR, whom we interviewed.

Nowadays, it seems crucial for both men and women of all age groups to find a good partner, and I’ve heard more about how challenging it is. First, let me tell you something – “encounters” happen all the time. However, many who feel that they “have no encounters” might not yet be prepared to accept a true “encounter.”

For instance, many women might view wonderful encounters like marriage or childbirth as some goal or a “guarantee of happiness.” But aren’t there hidden anxieties and impatience behind those thoughts, like “It’s embarrassing not to have a lover” or “I hate being alone” or “I want to get married soon”? If you wish for a “wonderful encounter,” in Ho’oponopono, the first step is to confront such feelings inside you. The method is to erase problematic memories one by one = cleaning.

In Ho’oponopono, it is believed that apart from our individual lives and experiences, all beings and things are deeply connected, inheriting memories across ages. Even if you feel lonely now, it’s not solely your loneliness. Vast memories play in your subconscious, causing sadness in response to them. Even what we consider personal issues, like love and relationships, are influenced by these memories.

Cleaning is an effective method to face any problem, but it’s not a magical lamp that grants wishes. It’s not about “hitting the jackpot” with a wonderful encounter, but understanding what a “necessary encounter” is for you and accepting it. Cleaning is about acknowledging and affirming all the past memories and experiences that have made your heart timid. It’s the opposite of forcing yourself into positive thinking or mind control, like “I have to stay positive” or “I have to smile.” Cleaning is like a nurturing part of yourself asking the scared or halted part of you, “What’s wrong?” and comforting it.

Then, think again. What’s a “wonderful encounter” for you? Is it with a man with a high income, handsome, and someone you can brag about to your female friends? After cleaning, a more specific, simple, and unique answer might come to mind.

I encountered Ho’oponopono over 50 years ago, but I clean every moment of every day – while walking, shopping, always. In daily life, I talk to everything that comes to mind: plants, land, houses, everything. I’m often asked, “Isn’t there an end to cleaning?” But there isn’t because cleaning is a fantastic opportunity to reaffirm your true self. For me, through cleaning, I can let go of many memories and feel liberated in that moment. When your heart becomes free, do you know what happens? Inspirations bloom. It’s a wonderful gift that enriches my life.

By cleaning, you realize that all the answers you seek are within you. But buried under vast memories, we often lose sight of what’s right for us. What’s essential for you is best known by your true self. I just clean and listen to that voice. Following its guidance, the best and most suitable events appear. Meeting the people you want to meet, getting what you need, everything starts to move lively and smoothly. You’re always given the chance to live as your true self.

Peace,
KR
