Regaining self-identity leads life to its destined path.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, I visited the popular summer retreat of Sicily in southern Italy for the first time in decades. It was a week-long holiday in Italy. Amidst the ongoing pandemic, domestic travel has finally become feasible, and for several months, people across the country have been eagerly securing travel tickets and accommodations for their first vacation in nearly two years, making headlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve always loved traveling alone. However, Verona, where I reside, was one of the areas hit hardest by the virus, so I had refrained from leaving my home for a long time. With every glance at the news and ads, and every conversation about travel plans with friends, I’d start “cleaning.” This cleaning somehow calmed the excitement within me, and I went about my daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the holidays, as work settled down, I spontaneously decided to go somewhere. Packing lightly, I headed straight to the station. Inquiring about available seats on southbound trains, I learned there was one heading to Sicily. On that whim, I boarded the train to Sicily for the first time in ages and managed to book a reasonably priced hotel online. Everything naturally fell into place, giving me a delightful sense of adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon arriving in Sicily, I noticed that, while not as crowded as in the past, it was bustling with tourists from all over the country. Hotel staff warned that restaurants might require reservations, but I simply “cleaned” with those thoughts and enjoyed swimming at the beach. By evening, I was starving and ventured into town, spotting a quaint restaurant. It appeared full, but a closer look revealed one small table available. The owner told me they only had limited dishes left but welcomed me. No menu was provided, but a fresh seafood platter was served, making for an exquisite meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sicily, which I revisited after so many years, appeared not just as a “popular tourist spot” but as the perfect place I had reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are moments when our intellect confounds us, leading us to experiences of perceived defeat. But when I “clean” these, what I experience is always a precious gift. Even when lost in self-centered games, practicing Ho’oponopono allows us to return to our natural rhythm, gifting unimaginable wealth, freedom, and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By cleaning our prejudiced notions and returning to our true identity, Ho’oponopono makes it possible. By cleaning judgments, life itself guides us to where we are meant to go. Always, at any moment, it’s enough to just keep cleaning our emotions and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love surfing, and when riding a wave, I don’t force anything. The wave pushes me forward. Similarly, with Ho’oponopono, the divine pushes you forward without any exertion on your part. All I do is return to that rhythm, and in that state, the divine force guides me in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
