Previous interview: How Can We Cross Time and Space to Deeply Clean on Family and Ancestors?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Many people who practice cleaning wish they could also clean on the family members closest to them \u2014 because when something happens to a family member, they end up suffering too.
In Ho’oponopono, what we clean on is always our own experience. So when a family member has a health problem, what can we do?<\/p>\n\n\n

What Is the Right Action?<\/h3>\n\n\n

Interviewer:<\/strong> One of the students is new to Ho’oponopono. She enrolled in your class because of her mother’s illness. Her mother is 65 years old and has had Parkinson’s disease for more than ten years, and has needed someone with her, caring for her, ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n

Every time she sees her mother, every time she thinks of her mother’s illness, she cannot help wanting to cry, and she loses all motivation even for work \u2014 that is what she tells us. Since she began cleaning, the pain in her heart has eased somewhat, but a great deal of fear and worry still remains. When a family member falls seriously ill, how exactly can we clean on it? That is what she would like to ask you.<\/p>\n\n\n

Nello Ceccon:<\/strong> Thank you for your question. Some time ago my ex-wife injured her leg while skiing, and it was quite serious. Our family has a custom of going skiing together every winter. Although she and I have already separated, that custom has continued ever since, and that time too, she, the children, and I went skiing together.<\/p>\n\n\n

My original plan was that, on the second day after the skiing trip ended, I would set out to lead two overseas courses. But it was right at that time that she injured her leg. We were away from Italy then, and her injury was severe, requiring a complex four-hour operation.<\/p>\n\n\n

After it happened, I felt there was nothing I could do by my own power to make the situation \u201cbetter.\u201d For me, and for the rest of the family, watching her endure such suffering was very painful.<\/p>\n\n\n

In all my life I had never seen her cry like that from physical pain. I became very worried, and I cleaned again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n

At the time I very much wanted to take care of her, and I was even willing to cancel all of my several weeks of overseas engagements. But at the same time, I wondered whether canceling everything might have other consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n

And then I realized: it was the emotions stirred up within me at seeing her go through that suffering that needed to be cleaned and transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n

In moments like this, transforming our own emotions and feelings toward our family is truly important. When we are able to release our own inner emotions, pain, fear, and worry toward our family, our family also benefits as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n

This, too, is the foundation of Ho’oponopono \u2014 when we clean on the memories within ourselves, the related memories are also released in the other person.<\/p>\n\n\n

At that time, I also kept cleaning on \u201cwhat the right action is.\u201d This was exactly what my heart truly hoped for when she broke her leg: to be able to support her at the right time, in the right place, and in the right way.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the process of cleaning, some things also happened that felt to me like miracles. First, my children were able to accompany and care for her at the hospital. While she was hospitalized, I also kept cleaning, telling myself that no matter how things unfolded from there, everything was perfect. A few days later, the doctor said she could go home to recover. So I canceled part of my schedule and went back to care for her. By now more than two months have passed, and I have been accompanying and caring for her all along. Only weeks earlier she had been completely unable to walk, and now she is recovering and can already walk again.<\/p>\n\n\n

Through this process, what I felt was the power of trust. I trust that the Universe, Divinity, and the Infinite will bring the right solution.<\/p>\n\n\n

Parkinson’s disease may make it feel as though the situation has no solution. But as she continues to clean, inspiration will come to this student, and she will come to know the right action that can help her mother. That is what I trust.<\/p>\n\n\n

At the same time, in the process of cleaning, she too will gradually be able to release the wounds and feelings within her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

What Cleaning Tools Can We Use?<\/h3>\n\n\n

Interviewer:<\/strong> This student has not yet taken the class, and has not yet learned cleaning tools such as the 12 Steps. Is there anything you would recommend that she could begin right now?<\/p>\n\n\n

Nello:<\/strong> When I am in a situation that seems to have no solution, the two prayers \u201cI Am the I\u201d and \u201cPeace of I\u201d are a great help to me.<\/p>\n\n\n

I would suggest that she use these two prayers often, because they help us ask Divinity to work through us. Both are very beautiful prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n

When I want to help my family and recite the prayer \u201cI Am the I,\u201d I feel myself opening to the Divine Great Self and to Divine wisdom. These two prayers also help us to kindle our trust in Divinity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Interviewer:<\/strong> Yes. Just now I saw a dog walking around on your screen.<\/p>\n\n\n

Nello:<\/strong> Yes, I have two dogs. The one just now was born blind. Some time ago, he was struck on the head by another dog, and his legs could not move at all. That night, I brought him into my bedroom, thinking he might be about to pass on. I cleaned again and again. And now, he has recovered, can run around again, and looks almost completely well. This has filled me with gratitude for cleaning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Interviewer:<\/strong> I very much agree with what you said \u2014 cleaning is also very helpful for pets. The dog I’m now showing you caught canine distemper when he was just over a month old, and at the time he was already on the verge of death.<\/p>\n\n\n

I cleaned again and again, and about two months later he had fully recovered, without any lasting effects \u2014 lively and healthy. I honestly have no idea why, but he really did get well just like that. I simply kept cleaning, talking to him every day, telling him, \u201cI love you, I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
